My work is deeply rooted in community, culture, and creativity. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, I showcase my influences and passion through the food I prepare and the experiences I create. Before becoming a Chef, I was a Professional Singer/Songwriter and traveled across the country and internationally to perform. I take the same artistic and passionate approach to creating dishes, as I do with creating songs. My work has been featured on “The Curious Chef w/ Stephanie Izard” on Hulu, and
“Gastronauts” on Dropout TV.

 

During 2020 - 2023, I provided mutual aid to the Black LGBTQIA+ community of Los Angeles under my company The Gro House, redistributing crowd funded donations, and providing over 30 households with free groceries. I created The Gro House as a hub of avenues for community empowerment and wellness through food, the redistribution of wealth, and curated events with our focus being the Black LGBTQIA+ community. My inspiration stemmed from my experience working in the restaurant industry and wanting to make positive improvements with how people experience food.
